DYNAMICS 2011 Conference in Istanbul during 1-2 April expected to be Turkey’s biggest Project Management Event in 2011

The DYNAMICS 2011 Conference, under the theme “Multinational Projects” being held in Istanbul, Turkey during 1-2 April 2011 is expected to be the largest project management event in Turkey this year.  This will be the 12th International Project Management Symposium sponsored by IPYD, the Istanbul Project Management Association.  Every year this international symposium brings together prestigious speakers to present important topics related to the theme of that year’s conference.  Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and learn from project management leaders from Turkey and abroad at this year’s event.  For information, visit http://www.dinamikler.org/en/index.html.

Dynamics, organized by the Istanbul Project Management Association (IPYD) with a wide range of participants, is the oldest and best established project management symposium in Turkey. It aims to promote professionalism and quality in the practice of project management in Turkey, by bringing together professionals, academics and practitioners to exchange views and experiences. Participants will learn the application of widely accepted global standards within the frame of professional ethics, as adopted by international organizations such as the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

Congress delegates will be welcomed on Friday, 1 April, by IPYD President Alev AKIN and Dynamics 2011 project manager M. Tolga ÖZDEMIR.  The opening keynote speech will be by M. Zafer ÇAĞLAYAN*, Minister of the Turkish Republic.  A second keynote speech during the opening session will be by Dr. Faruk YARMAN, CEO of Havelsan.  They will be followed by two tracks of presentations over the balance of the day by leading Turkish and European executives and project management experts.  Day one will conclude with a major presentation on the 12th International Istanbul Biennial 2011 by IKSV Istanbul Biennial Director Bige ÖRER.

Day two, 2 April, will also include two keynote speakers in the morning: Barış LOSTUVALİ, Senior Project Manager, California Cathedral Hill Health Center Project, and Şamil ÇAPAR, Koray İnşaat General Manager.  They will be followed by presentations in three tracks on such topics as Emerging Risks, Project Management Soft Skills, Turkish Project Teams in International Projects and other good topics.  The day will conclude with two very interesting sessions – “The Traces of 16th Century War Techniques in Today's Business Environment” by Cemil TÜRÜN, Yoğurt Technologies Founder, and GÜNSONU - Cultural Differences in Business Life by Mehpare SÖZENER.
